Q. If I have less than the minimum number for
my stag party, can I still book?
A. Yes we are happy to have less than the minimum
for your stag parties as long as they pay for the minimum.
Q. I am still getting the numbers together for
my stag weekend can you reserve the weekend for me in the meantime?
A. Contact us and we will pencil you in and give
you first refusal should anyone else show and interest in a stag weekend. We
simply ask that you keep us informed of your progress so that we can release
the weekend if your plans fall through.
Q. I am ready to go ahead, how do I book my
stag weekend house party?
A. You can book your stag party by paying a 25%
deposit. The deposit can be paid
by cheque made payable to Score Valley Hotel.
Q. I know that
I will have more than the minimum required and less than the maximum but not sure of
the final number, how do I book my stag weekend?
A. We suggest that you base your booking on the
minimum required number rather than your expected stag party size.
Q. What happens if I book for eighteen but less
turn up for my stag party?
A. As long as you meet the agreed minimum numbers
you do not have to pay for the "no shows". If the numbers for your
stag weekend fall below the minimum you will be asked to pay for the agreed
minimum.
Q. What are the sleeping arrangements?
A. Don’t worry our double rooms are all equipped with zip and link beds so although rooms are shared everybody will get their own bed.
Q. I want to inform the rest of my party about
your stag weekends do you have any brochures?
A. We rely totally on the Internet for the marketing
and promotion of our stag weekends. Most groups pass around our Website address
as a means of sharing the information.
Q. If I book the stag weekend now and have
to cancel what cancellation charges will apply?
A. We try to be as fair as possible. If we are
able to relet the weekend to another stag group your deposit will be refunded
in full apart from any administration charges incurred in taking and refunding
the deposit. However if we are unable to relet the weekend you will be
liable in law for the full amount of the weekend less the costs of any food

Q. Some members of our stag party have special
dietary requirements can you cater for these?
A. Yes, we are well used to catering for special
dietary requirements as long as we are informed in advance of your stag party
weekend.
Q. Our party want to do some activities during
the weekend. How do we find out what stag weekend activities are available
and how do we book these?
A. There are many exciting country activities
to enjoy at centres close to the hotel. Please click here to find out more
about the activities that you can enjoy during your stag weekend. You are advised
to contact and book directly with these centres.
Q. Can we bring our own wine or drinks for our
stag party?
A. As we have a well stocked bar and extensive
wine list we insist that we supply your wine and bar requirements for your
stag weekend. If you have any special requirements please let us know
in advance.
Q. If we need taxis during our stag weekend can you
arrange these for us?
A. Yes we have an arrangement with a local taxi
company and will organise taxis for your stag party weekend.
Q. Our party group may be arriving at the hotel
at various times on the Friday night. Can your cater for them if some arrive
late?
A. Yes we aim to serve the Friday evening meal
at an agreed time for the majority of your stag group. We are happy to serve
any late arrivals on trays in the bar.
Q. Are there any nightclubs locally that we
can go to during our stag weekend?
A. Yes, most of our stag parties visit Lucky's
Nightclub in Ilfracombe and have a great time. There is no problem in our
groups getting in and there is a very relaxed dress code.
Q. Not many quality hotels accept bookings for
stag weekends, how do you manage?
A. This is true and we are quite unique in two
star hotels. We are happy to do this on the understanding that we have an
agreement with the key organiser as to the behaviour of the stag group and
the acceptance of our house rules - see below.
Q. Do you have any house rules regarding behaviour
during stag weekends at your hotel?
A. Stag weekend house parties are our main business
so we know what to expect and can help make the weekend a success. We do have
a few house rules that we ask you to observe, these are :
* Please respect the house and the staff
* If you "chuck up" you clear up
* Any breakages must be paid for
* No alcohol to be brought into the hotel
* If you get lucky at Luckys, don't bring it back here!
* A good time must be had by all
Q. Where is the nearest town and
what are the pubs like for our stag party?
A. The nearest town is Ilfracombe, which is two
miles away. There is a large selection of pubs and bars in the High Street
and along the harbour.
